Join us to kick off the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books with an evening of Heyday authors, conversations, and community.
We will hear from Greg Sarris, author most recently of Becoming Story and longtime Chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, as well as artist-adventurer Obi Kaufmann, whose Coasts of California is going to be available for the first time at our event. Together we will celebrate 35 years of News from Native California, the quarterly magazine published by Heyday since 1987.
All of us—Heyday’s Board of Directors, Steve Wasserman (publisher), Gayle Wattawa (general manager / editorial director), Terria Smith (Roundhouse program director / editor of News from Native California), and the rest of our team—look forward to welcoming you on April 21.
Contributions are appreciated and may be made during registration by clicking the RSVP button below. We are a 501(c)(3) with tax ID number 94-3268357. Donors help Heyday thrive as an independent, nonprofit publisher.
