The Community of Writers, the Marin Poetry Center and the Mill Valley Public Library invite you to a virtual book launch of Why to These Rocks: 50 Years of Poetry from the Community of Writers. The evening will celebrate fifty years of poetry written in and inspired by the High Sierra workshop.

Lewis Watts is a photographer, archivist, and professor emeritus of art at UC Santa Cruz with a longstanding interest in the cultural landscape of the African diaspora in the Bay Area and internationally. He is co-author of Harlem of the West: The San Francisco Fillmore Jazz Era.
