Join Trail Work author Dillon Osleger at this year’s Los Angeles Times Festival of Books for the panel House Tour: A Closer Look at the Elements that Make Up Our Home Planet.
Description
The epic stories of our planet’s 4.54-billion-year history are written in strata—ages-old remnants of ancient seafloors, desert dunes, and riverbeds striping landscapes around the world. But we can also learn a lot about our planet by looking closely at CO2: all life is ultimately made from CO2, and it has kept Earth bizarrely habitable for hundreds of millions of years. It’s also a dangerous byproduct of burning fossil fuels. Join us for an enlightening conversational tour around the planet we call home: the geography, biology, and history that grant us the privilege of knowing these places more deeply and embracing our common inheritance.
