L. Frank (Ajachmem/Tongva) is an artist and “decolonizationist” who has exhibited in numerous shows and published a collection of her drawings, Acorn Soup. A cultural activist, she is one of the founding board members of the Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival. She lives in Santa Rosa. Kim Hogeland has a B.A. in history and Native American studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She recently completed an M.A. in history at the University of California, Davis, where she focused on the cultural and ethnic history of California and the American West. She lives in Oakland and works as a freelance writer and historian.
